The DIY cycle

The $23 can from the hardware store works. For six weeks.

Step 1

You spray what you see

The can kills the scouts on your counter. The colony that sent them is behind the wall, untouched, still laying.

Step 2

The colony moves deeper

Repellent sprays scatter survivors into wall voids, subfloors and deck posts. Harder to reach than where they started.

Step 3

They come back hungrier

New trails by week six, usually somewhere worse. Five cans a year and there are still spiders in the tub.

Sprays kill scouts. Inspections find nests. That's the whole difference.

How Sentry works

Inspection first. Then a barrier that gets maintained.

28-point inspectionVisit 1

Perimeter walk: gaps, weep holes, grade line
Attic and crawlspace: droppings, nesting, damage
Moisture readings at sills, decks, hose bibs
Trail mapping: where they enter, where they feed
Written plan with photos, before we treat anything

Takes about 40 minutes. Free with any plan, $89 standalone, credited if you join.

Re-entry: 45-60 minutes

Kid and pet safe, on the label's terms.

EPA-registered products applied at label rates, never above. Treated areas dry inside an hour; kids and pets are back on them the same afternoon. Every product used is listed on your visit report.

Week 1

Flush-out and seal

Interior treatment along mapped trails, nest removal, and sealing of the entry points found on inspection: gaps, sweeps, penetrations.

Quarter 2

Exterior barrier

Full perimeter treatment, eave and soffit de-webbing, wasp patrol on porch ceilings and play structures.

Quarter 3

Bait refresh and granular

Tamper-resistant stations refreshed, granular barrier at the grade line, mulch beds and foundation plantings treated.

Quarter 4

Winter-proofing

Rodent stations set and checked, attic re-inspection, door sweeps and weather-strip audit before the cold pushes mice in.

Plans

One number a quarter. Everything above included.

Most Columbus companies quote $65-85 a month for the same coverage, on a 12-month contract. We'd rather earn the renewal each quarter.

Termites are a different animal: in-ground baiting plus annual monitoring, typically $8-12 per linear foot. Quoted after inspection.

The guarantee

The re-treat rule.

A covered pest shows up between quarterly visits? We're back within 3 business days and we re-treat free. No visit fee, no debate, no fine print about "excessive moisture" or "conducive conditions".

Last year: 212 free re-treats across 6,814 visits. A 3.1% rate we publish on purpose. We'd rather re-spray than argue.

★★★★★

"Wasp nest over the porch on Tuesday, gone Thursday morning, two days before my daughter's birthday party. The tech showed me the removed comb and sealed the soffit gap it hung from."

"They found mice getting in at two gaps behind the garage that I would never have seen. Sealed both, set stations, zero droppings since March. The photo report alone was worth the visit."

★★★★★

"Carpenter ants in the deck three summers running. Sentry traced them to one moisture-damaged post, treated it, and re-checked the bait twice on their own dime. This summer: nothing."

Questions

Asked at almost every inspection.

Are the products safe for kids and pets?

Everything we apply is EPA-registered and applied at label rates, never above. Treated surfaces dry in 45-60 minutes; once dry, kids and pets can be back on them. Interior baits go in tamper-resistant stations, placed where small hands and paws don't reach.

Your visit report lists every product used, with registration numbers, every time.

Do I need to be home, or leave the house?

Be home for the first visit: the inspection walkthrough takes about 40 minutes and it's where the plan gets built. Quarterly visits after that are exterior-first; most customers aren't home for them. Nobody needs to vacate for standard treatments, just stay off treated surfaces until dry.

Is there a contract?

The quarterly plan bills per visit. Cancel any time after your third visit with no fee; before that we just ask you to pay the standard $249 rate for the discounted first visit. Your price is locked for 24 months either way.

What happens if pests show up between visits?

Text us a photo or call. If it's a covered pest, a tech is out within 3 business days and the re-treat is free. That's the re-treat rule, and it covered 212 visits last year.

Do you handle termites?

Yes, on a separate program: in-ground baiting around the foundation plus an annual monitoring check, typically $8-12 per linear foot installed. It's quoted after inspection because soil, slab and crawlspace layouts change the design. Termite swarmers in spring are the usual tell; send a photo before you spray anything.

Why quarterly instead of monthly?

Modern barrier products hold a residual for about 90 days, so monthly visits mostly re-treat product that's still working. Quarterly matches the chemistry. If pressure spikes between visits, re-treats are free anyway, so you're never waiting on a schedule.
